This week I had the opportunity to visit the Welsh Heritage Museum, colloquially called St Fagans. I spent a lot of my childhood visiting this museum. So being in Wales gave me an excuse to return. As I was wandering around I came across a row of cottages that were all exactly the same but each cottage represented a different era. As I wandered into each house I was amazed at how much innovation and invention has changed our lives and the way we live.
My thoughts turned to family life and how traditions, some good and some not so good, get passed down. How we were parented and how they influence our own parenting. It also made me think about the advent of technology and how it too shapes our parenting - I would argue more now than ever. With the development of the internet and subsequent apps we have everything at our finger tips. This is a bit of a double edged sword. We can look things up without having to go searching outside of the house for information but we too can face information overload. If you're having an issue untangling this knotty issue reach out and we can work together to untangle it.
